Unit 7

Well, for unit 7 we agian work on meditation and it's still the same for me. I can do it but it's not a big deal for me really. I of course get a clear mind and relax but i dont think i could do it every day. "One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself” i think means that you can't teach or preach about something if you have not been there and done that. Do you have an obligation to your clients to be developing your health psychologically, physically, and spiritually?I would have to say no, of course it's a good thing to work on but working in law it's not essential really (or at least i think)

  1. You are probably correct that it is not essential to the practice of law but how about to the practice of being yourself. I can see where in your profession a few minutes of quiet time could be very advantageous to your overall well being. Remember that our professor tells us to strive for progress not perfection. I also think you are very correct in your statement about you cannot properly lead someone somewhere if you have not been there yourself. Thanks and as always have a wonderful day.

  2. Law seems to be a stressful field to me. How do you stay calm? I would think you meed to take care of yourself to be able to serve you clients.

  3. How about thinking of these exercises as a way to prepare you before a big case goes to trial or to help your client feel more relaxed and be more willing to give you needed information?
I know, we don't all experience these exercises in the same manner-these are just my thoughts on using them in a legal field nothing more.
